Well, this is April 30 and I still have goals to reach that I will do today or else! (Clean the house. Get a Prayer and Square quilt done. Write to Leiya. Plant some flowers.) It is also the first day off of Golden Week in Japan which gives us a three day weekend at the beginning, then a four day weekend at the end of the week. Let's see... Golden Week consists of Showa no Hi, in honor of the Showa Era, Kenpo no Hi which is Constitution Day, Midori no Hi which is a day in honor of greenery and nature and Boy's Day which is to celebrate boys (obviously). Today I can work and play on my own time schedule. Tetsu went off to work as usual, but he did get into the relaxation mode by having breakfast out in the yard. Choco was happy to have the extra attention and she ate dog snacks while we ate breakfast.
As for the tale of the rest of Saturday's bus trip, (after the remodeling fair) we spent a nice afternoon in the famous Chinatown in Yokohama. The bus dropped us off and we were given three hours to play around. It was so crowded that we never did get any good pictures and not a one of Tetsu or of us together but here is one of me enjoying my first visit to Chinatown. The architecture is definitely Chinese, this is not Japanese architecture! We ate a lot and wandered the stores but actually didn't buy anything. Our morning had started at 6:30 and we finally arrived home around 9:30 at night, but it was a wonderful day and something that Tetsu and I have never had a chance to do before.
