I've got a secret

Another post that I'm wondering if I want to post. I'm letting you know ahead of time that I am not hinting at anything risque. This is not an R rated blog.

Leiya and I went out shopping... for ladies' support, if you get what I mean. JC Penneys was having a great sale so we both stocked up. We both like a Japanese brand but it is expensive and so with Penneys' prices we could each buy a couple nice things. Then we went over to Victoria's.

I am not much of a fashion or brand shopper but I wandered around and oogled some of the filmy things hanging around. Hmmm. Some of those things might look nice if one had the body like the mannequins. I could see though that a nice support system could make you feel pretty even if no one knew but you.

While Leiya shopped I looked in the sales bin. Wow! Even on sale these things rival Japanese prices! But actually, that's what drew me. Hey, not much more than in Japan and I'd be able to say I actually owned one of these. But then again, who are you going to tell, Tanya? One doesn't just bring it up in a normal conversation that you are wearing something from Victoria's.

I'll have you know, my feminine side won out and I came home with a practical something from Victoria's. Just bringing it up in a normal blog conversation...

Hi Tanya,

I read your blog daily and really enjoy it, whether you are discussing your animals, your quilting, or life in Japan. Thank you for taking the time to do this and to post all your pictures.

This post resonated with me because I always found shopping for these support garments extremely frustrating - until I went into Victoria's to buy a wedding shower gift for someone and decided just to try one on. They are the best fitting garments of this type around - and I am old enough to be the models' mother, at this point. I was very surprised. Here is one case where advertising is working against them, I believe, by turning off an audience that would be well served by their product!

Enjoy your summer,

Linda
