Connections

This is just a quick post but I wanted to show this pair of pictures though you've seen the one of me before and you may have seen both pictures on Mary's blog.

Sunday morning I was blogging from my yard when I got an e-mail from Mary saying how much she liked using her wireless while sitting outside. I answered back that I was outside at that moment and I included the picture of me outside drinking coffee. Mary wrote back in a minute or two and sent a picture of herself (our husbands are our photographers) out on her balcony drinking wine! Here we are, two bloggers in different time zones and countries (Mary is in Minneapolis and I, of course, am in Japan) enjoying a chat in God's lovely outdoors over refreshment.

After a few more e-mail exchanges Mary and I signed off, for her to wind down her Saturday evening, for me to start my Sunday. It made me smile all day thinking of the passing connection through our computers, blogging and our love of patchwork.

How wonderful to be able to sit outside and chat with others around the world and send photos instantly. I enjoy my wireless laptop also. Glad you are having a good time and enjoying the lovely scenery.

Can't technology be great? I enjoy the webcam...talk to my daughter in AZ and used to talk to my granddaughter when she lived in Mexico. So nice to talk and "see" our loved ones.

How cute. I still am amazed when I email someone on another continent and they immediately email me back. It is almost like magic!

I love the journal quilt - what special memories it will hold for you.

I'm having a little separation anxiety. I won't be taking the laptop on our vacation and Keith isn't taking his either. From what I read, we can use the computers on the ship but who knows how much it will cost or if we'll even take time out to find them.

I smile each time I see these photos!

I read Mary's post about your drinks together. It is wonderful to think we have so many beautiful friends all over the world.
