Sewing some

It is too hot today to do anything and I'm afraid the air-conditioner is giving me a headache. It's either that or having the fan turned on us all night. I realized that I usually miss this season of heat and humidity because I'm in California (and there I only have to deal with the heat!) and I find it very unpleasant. Getting zilch exercise just because the idea of going outside is so daunting. I can't just nap all day so I was sewing. I had big plans for using the summer vacation to get caught up on my projects but even that seems like a lot of effort right now.

Ok. Enough griping. I pulled the Orange and Cherry Jubilee out of the bag I'd stuffed it in and went back and printed out the rest of the instructions for a border and I've been doing that this morning. You may notice I have not said anything about redoing the mistakes. MISTAKES CAN BE BEAUTIFUL! I'm forging on and I'm going to be positive! So here are my borders. Not attached yet, (Oh no. There's math to do!) but that will be the next big plunge.

Quilting the Wonky word is going slowly just because it seems so idiotic to sit with a heavy quilt on my lap with the air conditioning on. I really love how the stitch-in-the-ditch accents the letters though. I smile at the finished letters every time I walk by.
Happy sewing.

hope you can find something/someplace comfortable for a while today... its hard to get no break from heat and humidity... know that while you might be missing the exercise your body may in fact be thanking you for not stressing it more.... Maybe you can take up a hobby as a cool drink chef? :-)

Come and live in the UK. It's cool and wet - in the middle of the summer! Huh!! Good to see the OC out again - I'm afraid i chickened out of the doing the borders as per the original, but they do look good.

Tanya,
Hope you will soon have cool breezes. It is also rather warm here this week. Maybe, we should go to New Zealand and enjoy the nice winter...Your borders look wonderful!
