Introducing Toi

Meet Toi. After much consideration and many complaints from Tetsu that most of the names I was thinking of were too hard for him to pronounce, this morning we have decided on the name Toi for our kitty. You can spell it Toy if you want. It is a take off on the numbers 10 and 1. 10 in Japanese can be pronounced as TO and 1 is pronounced ICHI so together it is TO-I. Since Toi came to our house on October 1st, 10/1 that is what he has been named.

Toi is especially fond of Tetsu ("finally a cat who wants to be with ME"!) and he has blended in nicely with our family. I took him to our vet on Thursday and found out that he is about 5 months old and will be able to have his little boy operation sometime next month.

Hears hoping Toi will be happy with us all and since he is so handsome he'll probably be on my blog often.

"Yoroshiku-ongegai-shimasu." "Glad to make your acquaintance!"

What a pretty kitten. I have always been fond of orange tabbies. Your pictures are almost enough to make me want to get another cat (we have 3 dogs, so the house is far from empty)

I have always been partial to orange tabbys. So pretty. And he just looks like he has a great purr-sonality, the way he is propped up on that first picture. Reminds me of a human leaning their elbow on a counter while they stand and talk to someone.

what a sweetie - so happy for Tetsu to have a lap (or chest) kitty!

Yes, orange tabbies are characters! I find they are always very loving. I have one who's a girl kitty--that is very unusual. I call her "Velcro Cat" sometimes, because she sticks to me. Toi is a real sweetie!

Hello Toi! It's great that Tetsu has a special buddy now. The picture of Tetsu sleeping with Toi on his chest reminded me of how my Hubby enjoyed our dog doing the same thing with him. They loved to take naps on Sunday afternoons.
