3 12 inch squares

Oh dear. Some sewing getting done but not enough to show anyone. I'm raiding my 3 1/2 inch squares bin.

Three years ago I was cleaning up my sewing room (AGAIN!) and wondering what to do with all the bits and pieces and scraps. The procrastinator that I am, instead of cleaning I was on the computer trying to find a system to organize fabric. Well, a Google search brought me to Bonnie's Quiltville and I was suddenly inspired to start cutting fabric into squares and strips. I've kept a 3 1/2 inch squares and a 2 inch squares bin ever since. I started a couple strip bins too and those have been filling up too.

But, I'm not so great at using the strips and squares. Maybe my output level just isn't high enough. Anyway, now I've got bins overflowing. And a crumb box that you can't believe! Well, since I'm going to make a quilt for the Thousand Colors project, I decided to use some of the fabric in my bins and I checked out one of Bonnie's patterns too.

Yesterday I had a good time sewing up squres and I laid my sewn squares out on the floor before going to bed but this morning I see that Velvet has had a frolic. Ah well. It is pretty much a hit and miss quilt anyway.

I hope it is colorful enough!

Fantastic! I have a small collection of crumb squares too. Bonnie Hunter came to our guild back in October and we had so much fun!
