A post from Kiana

Ta-da!!! Kiana's table runner is finished and on her dresser! She first helped put together the baby quilt that we were working on last week and then decided that she'd like to try something for herself. Kiana picked out the colors and didn't really need too much urging to piece the whole top with just a little sideline advice. I machine quilted it for her but I think this qualifies as Kiana's first complete quilt!!

Here is a little summary of what Kiana thinks of quilt making.

My dresser top has always been very plain and white, until we found the pattern for a table runner. We immediately found this to be a great idea as it would add a little decoration and color to the otherwise very plain dresser top. I had chosen a very pretty blue, aqua, and brown fabric to use in my table runner. I tried to make it on my own but kept constantly messing up (sorry Auntie Tani) when it came to the sewing part. Altogether though I liked making it and would like to make another one next year.

I am so pleased and proud of Kiana!

What a great project and it really looks good on the dresser. I never think about using table runners that way.
