Cats

We have a routine in our house every morning. At about 5:00 am the dumb cats think it is time to get up. Tetsu and I don't think so. But Choco agrees with the cats and she starts barking. The cats are overjoyed that they've got a very vocal supporter on their side.

For awhile Tetsu and I yell down the stairs to Choco to be quiet. (Yes, she is in the house because the neighbors do not appreciate her barking out in the yard at 5:00 am!) Sometime around 5:30 I give up and come downstairs with cats scampering around my ankles and leaping from dresser to dresser hoping I'll hurry up with food.

Toi gets put in the cat cage because he eats EVERYBODY'S food and is too fat as is. Patora and Chip get put in the Japanese room with the door closed behind them. This is to keep them from the expensive cat food that Vel and Cleo eat and to protect Vel from Patora (Pato HATES Vel.) Then I feed Vel and Cleo upstairs and finally Choco goes for a morning walk with Tetsu and me. Choco gets 40 minutes of exercise and then gets fed when we come back.

This morning after I put Vel back in his room I opened the Japanese room door to let Chip and Patora out and look what had been strewn in the doorway!!! Obviously these two don't like being locked up in the room and had to show their displeasure with vandalism. This is worth about 10 dollars and I don't know which cat has such disregard for money. I suppose I am at fault since I left the cash on the desk after one of my English kids paid me.

I am reminded of last year's episode in America with Leiya's $50. At least this incident wasn't as gross as that one!! What is it with animals and money?

Tetsu suggested that since I am the patchwork specialist in this family that I should tape the bill back together but I told him he could keep it if he could put it back together and get the bank to take it, so he took up the challenge.

Which cat do you think looks guilty? Patora or Chip?

Tetsu did a fantastic job. Maybe he should try patchwork too.... :):):)

Tanya, neither of those cats looks the least bit devilish!! I can't believe EITHER of them did that!!

Tetsu did a GREAT job putting that back together! I think it must've been Chip - he looks far too innocent.

They both look very, very guilty!

I'll vote for Chip as the culprit. Patora looks way to laid back to be bothered tearing up paper. Chip on the other hand looks like a fun and games little rascal.

What a palaver every morning. Rosie sits outside my bedroom window yowling from about 5.30am, but since she's on her own I manage to ignore her for a while.

What great pictures of the cats. And a beautiful job of taping those scraps. So much work to take care of all the animals and an early wake up call, too.

Tetsu did a wonderful job with that tape! Once upon a time, a long time ago we had a puppy who had a taste for money. She chewed through a pant pocket to get to the money that was tucked away in it. I found many pieces of the bills and of course it did not make me happy. I think I was more upset about the demolished pant pocket then the lost money. Did the bank take back the repaired bill? Hope so!

I say they did it together!!LOL Tetsu did a good job putting the bill back together.

Animals do love their routines. When my son's dogs were staying here they absolutely insisted that breakfast was at 6am.......and I'm not a morning person. No sleeping in that week.

Chip's the guilty one - I'm sure of it!! Your post gave me a good chuckle. It sounds a lot like my house. In fact, when my husband gets home I'm going to read this to him so he will see that we aren't the only ones with high maintenance cats.

Hmmm, maybe Tetsu could take up patchwork, also??? Enjoyed the pictures of your cats...we have one cat about 5 years ago, both an inside and outside cat...when he pleases to go out, he goes out. When he pleased to come in, he comes in.....we open and close the doors a lot!!!

Did Tetsu like the bag you gave him for his birthday. By the picture, it seems he enjoyed the Crocs...so do I....have a good day...and greetings to Tetsu.....Pat
