Yesterday two of my friends came over to do some patchwork together. Mrs. Nakazawa has finished quilting her kitty quilt and we spent the day putting on the binding. Of course every time we laid the quilt down to admire or work on, cats would appear to claim it as their own. It's a good thing Mrs. Nakazawa likes cats (I guess so... she sewed enough cats into this quilt!)

For homework Mrs. Nakazawa will finish the binding and then do some embroidery on the cat faces. This is not completely complete yet but I still wanted to show it here and have you see Mrs. Nakazawa's happy face. She has her next and her next and her next quilt project lined up in her head.

And on a different note, one of my swimming friends gave me some cookies that she found at a neighborhood bakery. Aren't these the cutest things?!! Actually I have bought these before (for Mrs. Nakazawa!) but they are too cute to eat!

Hi Tanya,
The cat quilt is so cute. Mrs. Nakazawa does such beautiful designs. Also, your kitties are always adorable and look so relaxed.
Sorry that I have commented lately, but I love reading your blog.
Love,
Liz
What a delightful cat post. I adore the cat quilt, make sure Mrs. Nakazawa knows that. It will be fun seeing her next project and the one after that.... The real cats are so sweet doing their "cat thing" and those cookies are cute!!
Oh look how happy she looks - and she should, that quilt is darling!! I don't agree that the cookies are too cute to eat though, NO cookie is too cute to eat - none are safe around me, lol!
Yes, those are adorable! It would be hard to eat something staring back at you. At least with a chocolate bunny you don't usually have to look them head on!
Happy quilter--what a great photo.
Maybe the shape of the cookies could work as pattern for another cat quilt? (Just a thought from a novice in quilting but admirer of the work)

Ohhh, you are right, those cookies are too cute to eat them...:o))! But I wonder how they taste...:o)
Good morning,
The cats on the quilt and the cookie cats are wonderful. :) I have a granddaughter who loves cats. I'll have to see if I can be as artistic and make some cookies and decorate them as well.
You blog is so much fun!
Best,
Lois
The cookies are adorable! The quilt looks like it would take some serious organization to get the right ears on the right cat.
She looks so proud of her quilt! She should be..it's so cute. It's been kitty-approved, too!
She looks so happy! Darling quilt. I agree... the cookies look like little works of art. But... I'd eat them!
My Niece would adore those cookies. They know they are too cute to eat too don't they!
Cheers
Lynne
