Better end of the deal

I chatted briefly with Leiya this morning.

"What's new with you?" she asked.

Not much since I've been in hibernation the past three days. That cold just might have been the flu, I didn't go back to the doctor's to find out and I huddled under the covers with cats all over me the whole time.

Saturday Tetsu was home and while I slept he spent the whole dang day cleaning for me. EVERYTHING is in order! Even the stamps on my desk! He shows his love by cleaning. And he cooked dinner last night too. (Curry... Not too great a choice for an irritable stomach but it is the thought that counts.)

My comment to Leiya was "you should find a husband so loving someday."

I am a terrible nurse. Whenever Tetsu gets sick the first words out of my mouth are

"Well, the way you take care of yourself it's no wonder you are sick."

and I'm not good with listening to health complaints either. I don't know why I got the good end of such a deal. Pampered is right! Okay... I'm finished with the mush but let it stand that I appreciate my husband.

When I'm perking again I should fix Tetsu a great meal. Trouble is I'm not only a lousy nurse, I'm a lousy cook too.

I could dedicate my next quilt to him...

I'm so glad to hear you are better! And, as far as Tetsu is concerned, you certainly are a lucky lady! It is so sweet he takes such good care of you.

Hugs,
Lois

Oh hon, what a blessing he is...I could be on my deathbed and mine would forget to check on me. How about taking him OUT for a nice dinner instead??? Or hand stitching his name on a towel for the spa...

I'm spoiled too! When I was working Keith always used to joke that he got no sympathy from me when he was sick because I always spent my time caring for people who were a lot sicker than him.

I hope you are better!

It sounds as if you're beginning to be on the mend, so good wishes for a speedy recovery. Christopher's the same, very good at caring for me when I'm ill (and when I'm well too of course) but I've had to work hard to learn how to be more sympathetic and to say the right things.

My sweetie is the cook in the house all the time. Just this last month he became very ill and was hospitalized for 10 days. Once I got him home, he was too weak to do anything...so the cooking fell to me. It has been so long since I have done any of the cooking, he had to coach me from a chair...step by step! He is getting stronger and cooked tonight! Woo Hoo!

I wish you the best.Sometimes we need to have a little micro pause in the everyday life and we suddenly have a lot of time to think of all the wonderful friends and family we have and we find we have so much to be so thankful of.I wish you a nice Sunday.

Wow... wish I have a husband as kind as Tetsu. He must love you with all his heart. Hope Leiya also will have a loving husband like Tetsu. You are blessed with a wonderful family, Tanya.

Husbands like that are definitely the best! I'm lucky to have one too. Hope you're all recovered soon!

I wonder if my husband would even notice if I were sick. Certainly he wouldn't clean (or even pick up his own junk. But then, he does have some sterling qualities. Seems like you lucked out. Take care.
