Joyful dog, curled up cats

Even when it snows in our area, it doesn't stick for very long. Today there are patches on the ground but things are going back to brown. This morning the air was foggy and mystical.

After last week's snowfall I went out with Choco for a walk. Hmmm. She is a white (and black) dog but because she spends most of her time in our yard she also tends to go brown very quickly. And against the white snow she had a very dingy tint!

We walked past farms and manure piles.

"NO! Don't do that!!!"

Before I could stop her, Choco was rolling in a manure pile.

"Okay Dog! That just killed your chances for spending a warm day in the house! Back outside you go!"

I didn't have time to give her a bath. (And I KNOW she doesn't want an icy spray with the hose.)

Oh the way home, there was a field of snow laying out in front of us.

"Oh, go and have a run and see if you can wash off some of the gunk while you're at it."

Off Choco went for a spin around the field. One happy dog!

The snow is falling. The hail is falling.
They steadily fall and are piling up,
The dog is so joyful running around the yard,
The cat is curled up by the fire place.

Choco so enjoyed that romp in the snow, the song has lovely words but you have 3 cats curled up!!! Where are the others??Even down here our little Poppy is curling up on the bed at night, Felicity on a fleece blanket too, they know what is best. Cheers from Jean, where we were so lucky and had no gale damage at our place.

Do I see a little black face in the background?

Haru ga Kita, Haru ga Kita,
Doko ni Kita?

Ha ha, My momma taught me this song when I was little. Do you know it? The spelling may be off, but it is the spring song.

Well, Mary said it... we could use a bit more of the Haru ga kita and less of the Yuki ya kon kon. ( even if inu wa yorokobi)!

What a sweet post. Love the children's song and the last image could be framed or used on note cards. Such darling kitties!

How lovely that Choco got to run free for awhile!

Gorgeous pictures. We have snow flurries today. Zeus loves running all around too, but luckily, he doesn't roll around in manure.

Choco really looks happy! prancing and running - manure or no manure - happy face dogs are great.
