I have a couple of finishes this weekend. No, that's not right. I have a finished embroidery block.

And the Alabama Beauty blocks have been put together... I think this is a flimsy...

I'm not quite sure why I put these blocks together in this layout. I was trying for gradation but now that is together some of those blocks sure stand out. Ah well. It is still pretty. I'm thinking that I DON'T want to put a border on this flimsy but it will stay pinned to the wall until I'm sure. I sort of like the way the white parts fade into the white wall. So no border... but this might not always be displayed on a white wall.
On to other things!

Oh Tanya,
I just learned this verse today Isaiah 26:3 for my meditation and then I saw it on your post just a moment ago.....I feel the Lord speaking to me and His love for me.... :)
Love your Alabama blocks.....beautiful.....
Love the way you have put together the Alabama Beauty blocks. I like the way it blends into the white wall too... maybe a white/light border for the top part and a dark border for the bottom? Love how the colors pop!
Your embroidery block is very pretty. I am doing the same BOM but have only finished the first block--ready to start block 2.
Your Alabama blocks are nice arranged that way. Are those the same blocks that have been in the making for quite some time and while you traveled to the US? They are very pretty.
I really like those Alabama Beauty blocks and your arrangement is quite nice. Embroidered blocks seem to be "in" these days and yours is lovely. Great progress!
Tanya, I am just catching up on some blog posts and am reading several of yours. I'm sorry I missed this one when it came up. What an absolutely GORGEOUS design! Your colors are stunning, and the layout is spectacular. (Enough superlatives?! LOL) This is inspirational. I'm putting this block on my someday list, because right now I don't even have a sewing room We're getting ready to move across the US, from Iowa to Florida. Still, thanks for sharing this, and for all your posts. I thoroughly enjoy seeing Japan through your eyes. You are such a gifted writer.
