I have lived in Japan for 35 years and currently live with my husband, 6 cats and a dog. My two children are studying in the States. I have been a quilter for over 20 years but I teach English to neighborhood children for a living (I have a good time too!) I love the Bible and Jesus and try to serve as I can in a very small local church.
I'm a self-taught quilter who for the past 20 years has progressed through trial and error mostly using Japanese books. I belong to a small group of quilters and we yearly make a bazaar quilt but on my own I dabble in hand piecing and strip piecing and hand quilting. Since joining the blogging world I've enjoyed Wonky piecing and am trying to get a handle on machine quilting using a domestic machine.
Our trash day today too but that isn't the kind of play Nikko does with waste baskets. Dumping them is her favorite activity. My camera has suddenly begun to show signs of quitting. What kind did you end up buying? I'm sure the store will say mine can't be repaired for under what a new one would cost.
what would our days be like without a blog, to post or to read, a quilt to dream about, stitch, or admire, and a cat for love and comfort, and surprises. Cheers from Jean

Awww, he's so cute! Tanya, loved your post about your mother-in-law, she has a beautiful smile.
Awwww, that's kitty help for you. Put something down around here for 2 seconds and you got a cat in it, too.
Tanya, you sure put a smile on my face...I believe you will, someday, do a children's book, featuring your pet photography...hugs, Pat in IN
Such a cutie! I have one that does the same thing. We have to be careful about boxes. He loves to get in there and hide!
Adorable! My Mini takes every opportunity with an empty basket or box too :)
