I have lived in Japan for 35 years and currently live with my husband, 6 cats and a dog. My two children are studying in the States. I have been a quilter for over 20 years but I teach English to neighborhood children for a living (I have a good time too!) I love the Bible and Jesus and try to serve as I can in a very small local church.
I'm a self-taught quilter who for the past 20 years has progressed through trial and error mostly using Japanese books. I belong to a small group of quilters and we yearly make a bazaar quilt but on my own I dabble in hand piecing and strip piecing and hand quilting. Since joining the blogging world I've enjoyed Wonky piecing and am trying to get a handle on machine quilting using a domestic machine.
Tanya, Bill and I both read your post w/ such lovely photos and putting them together w/ scripture..we used it as part of our morning devotions yesterday...these, and other photos you've done, adding scripture, would make a wonderful daily devotional..for folks who dont' want to read a whole lot, but the pictures would speak to them...you are such a talented lady and I'm so blessed to call you my friend...hugs, Pat in IN
After a week or more in the woods with the edge of two typhoons dumping on my tent, it is a joy to look at your pictures and contemplate other aspects of God's gifts.

I always thought that you work very well with the camera. Maybe the Almighty can also think so? He bless you!
