Color Contrast

Recently I haven't been taking many pictures.  One reason is that most of the scenery out my window is brown.  Another reason is because with all the layers of sweaters and jackets and mufflers and gloves, I'm already weighted down and it takes a bit of work to even push buttons on the camera!

Last weekend the photography website that I visit gave the homework to photograph color contrast.  Sorry, there IS no red and green... yellow and purple... blue and orange around here!

But I went out with the camera and Choco and actually did find things of interest.

See...  Brown...  With a bit of a red roof.  This is a farmer's tractor shed.

More brown.  The left over stalks of a chive farmer.

Now this was interesting.  A tree trunk lying in the forest...  But it is adorned with vibrant green.

Oh good!  I was able to do my photography homework!  I found blue and orange at another farmer's shed!!!

Great photos Tanya, and good contrasts. Chives farmed, do they grow them there in the winter and outdoors in the summer? Cheers from Jean. p.s. nothing like a weekly challenge to get eyes tuned to what is there all the time.

Thank heaven for farmers....they helped you get your homework done and didn't even know it!! It's just amazing how bright that green on the fallen tree trunk is. Is it some kind of fungus or lichen or something?

Tanya, you did a good job of finding the color combination...you can only photograph what is before you...I loved the green on the tree trunk...there is a tree down the road from us that has some huge, I guess they are a fungus, or growth of some kind, that flower shops love to put in floral arrangements..but I think I'll get those and photograph them before anybody else sees them...hugs, Pat in IN

Beautiful photographs. That tree trunk is something else - I can't imagine that bright of green whatever it is. Thanks for sharing.

You did great job. The color contrast is fun. My favorite is the tree trunk. Its bright colors really surprising.
