He is the manager over 4 landfills over a 2 state area. Our area is SO far away from that type of collecting & separating & recycling! I get SO many people talking about reccling & I KNOW it's a good thing, but right now? NOT recycling keeps us in a job!
I live in an area where there isn't even a "private collection" company that comes out & picks up your trash. You have to take it to convenience centers & then THERE you have to have it separated. It's too much trouble - I just bag it up & throw it in the back of my husband's truck & he takes it to work. Me too! Such is the perks of working at the landfill.....

Thanks for a giggle!

Sam in Middle TNmomtofatdogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15389739578090412265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36822513.post-30143579065646281202009-02-20T05:21:00.000+09:002009-02-20T05:21:00.000+09:00It all sounds a little obsessive-compulsive until ...It all sounds a little obsessive-compulsive until you consider how small Japan is and how little land would be available for landfills and disposal. Since you sort out burnable garbage I wondered if you had a trash burning power generating station. I do wish there were more here. We (at least, I) conscientiously separate and dispose of the recycling - mixed paper, aluminum, glass, metal, newspapers, corrugated cardboard and steel - and wonder since the price paid for paper to be recycled is so low, we wouldn't be better off burning it to produce electricity. The Calico Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01772374749065425388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36822513.post-59180653944446685062009-02-20T04:47:00.000+09:002009-02-20T04:47:00.000+09:00Wow! Of course it does lead me to my next question...how many bins do you have in your house to keep organized!! Any tips would be helpful, as we will be moving from having a "catch-all" bin to bins for recycling, bins for food waste and bins for everything else...Sew Create It - Janehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11042708937494415876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36822513.post-53614109249629424042009-02-19T13:22:00.000+09:002009-02-19T13:22:00.000+09:00Oh, my!
