I guess you could call me cheap because I don't want to pay the extra fees to allow me to send and receive texts. I have been getting along just fine leaving and receiving voice messages...so guess I will stick with that for now!Marilyn Rhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13249212194704638191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36822513.post-49701612458220329842008-12-28T10:38:00.000+09:002008-12-28T10:38:00.000+09:00Great story! Good for safety...or is it if no one answers? lolLaurahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04602373413493855920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36822513.post-52703802493989207452008-12-28T00:11:00.000+09:002008-12-28T00:11:00.000+09:00Funny! Thanks for starting my morning out with wonderful memories and a good laugh.

Keep the cell phone. I hate phones, even the cell phone, but it has come in handy and there have been times I wished I had it with me. That's my two cents.andsewitis Hollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07867112701783092241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36822513.post-74534576048435972432008-12-27T15:41:00.000+09:002008-12-27T15:41:00.000+09:00Quite an adventure. I'd have been very anxious coming home alone on a train at that time of night, but perhaps Japanese travellers are less intimidating that some of our English travellers! I've got a mobile phone that I rarely use, but I have a 'pay-as-you-go' option, so it costs me next to nothing. They are useful for emergencies. Perhaps it's time to start training Tetsu to read your texts! Start sending him vital information so that he has to get used to reading them!Amandahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00459871513482076398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36822513.post-27008587203216767312008-12-27T14:50:00.000+09:002008-12-27T14:50:00.000+09:00Besides the fact that I just got a new cell phone,...Besides the fact that I just got a new cell phone, I think they come in handy even if you don't use them that much. BUT, I think you can certainly get along without one. For me it would depend on whether the convenience was worth the expense and whether I wanted to spend that money for something else.

I love trains and wish we had more of them here in the US. As for Tetsu, well it might be in his good interest to start reading all of your text messages and as for the cell phone....better keep it even if you don't use it that often. It does come in handy when you get in a pickle! Rae AnnR.H.http://www.blogger.com/profile/18424243223759131642noreply@blogger.com
