Does anyone know why my comment button might have disappeared? I didn't touch anything. Just posted the blog today and noticed the button is gone. I went to moderate comments and made sure that "anyone can comment" is checked. No button. Oh no...
Oops. It's back for this post. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND BLOGGER!

Tanya, I'm not much help, but I notice that things like this happen to me off & on. Then I can log on and the missing elements are back. I can't explain why though.
Tanya, I would wait a few days before I worry about it. Blog gets crazy and things disappear and re-appear. I mess up enough on my own without Blogger's help but they sure mess things up often too.
Don't know what happened with your comments button either but happily it's back now and so I can leave something :o) Some friends of ours (Americans) did an exchange sabbatical with a Norwegian family back in the 60's - apparently Norwegian housewives there in Trondheim would hang their duvets over their balconies on certain days to air them - her elder daughter who was about 7 or 8 at the time, and desperate for her visiting US family to conform, would beg her mother to hang theirs out on the same day. Certainly here in the UK we don't have balconies but occasionally I put mine out on the washing line in the garden. Oddly enough from when we lived in France I have a vivid memory of duvets draped out of upstairs windows as I walked through the village we live in - it always struck me there that they might get dirty from the wall but I guess if they did it didn't bother them :o) Keep writing about the Japanese way of life (as well as your quilting of course) it's fascinating!
Another great post about Japanese culture. I've had Japanese house guests for a week each summer for the last 8 years, but I've learned more from your posts in the last month. I guess I don't ask my guests the right questions!!
