I have lived in Japan for 42 years and currently live with my husband and 5 cats and a temperamental dog. My two children are living and working in the States. I have been a quilter for over 25 years but I am semi-retired and teach English occasionally. I love the Bible and Jesus and try to serve as I can to His glory
I'm a self-taught quilter who for the past 20 years has progressed through trial and error mostly using Japanese books. I belong to a small group of quilters and we yearly make a bazaar quilt but on my own I dabble in hand piecing and strip piecing and hand quilting. Since joining the blogging world I've enjoyed Wonky piecing and am trying to get a handle on machine quilting using a domestic machine.
Sorry. Tetsu informed me that what we were looking at yesterday was "Shibazakura" (not sakura soh) which I've now checked again and find that it is called "Moss Pink" also referred to "Cherry Shrubs". Goes to show you I don't know my Japanese nor my flowers.

They are still pretty flowers. I was reading another blog (somewhere in Europe) that was showing all the yellow flowers blooming there. Now who's blog was that? Hmmmm...

Forgiven. The flowers are still beautiful.
That's okay! That makes more sense.
Tanya,
Looks like a huge bowl of beautiful cherries! More colorful than ever...
Thanks!
