I have lived in Japan for 42 years and currently live with my husband and 5 cats and a temperamental dog. My two children are living and working in the States. I have been a quilter for over 25 years but I am semi-retired and teach English occasionally. I love the Bible and Jesus and try to serve as I can to His glory
I'm a self-taught quilter who for the past 20 years has progressed through trial and error mostly using Japanese books. I belong to a small group of quilters and we yearly make a bazaar quilt but on my own I dabble in hand piecing and strip piecing and hand quilting. Since joining the blogging world I've enjoyed Wonky piecing and am trying to get a handle on machine quilting using a domestic machine.
I finally did some hand piecing yesterday. How long has it been? This is my 4" block for my Round Robin project with friends. I needed to have it done by next Wednesday and I have a full schedule next week so if it was going to be done at all, yesterday was the day!
Today I have a friend coming for a couple of days whom I haven't seen in years so we are going out playing.

What a pretty block, I love the colour combination. I''m looking forward to seeing the Round Robin as it progresses.
Very cute block! The colors are beautiful and the size of the patches is mindboggling.
Check out my blog, I'm having a giveaway!
