Cleo and Patora take life in stride but they look a little like buzzards lately. They peer down at the bottom of chairs and sofa waiting for Velvet to make an appearance and Velvet has turned into a derelict hermit. He camps out in the caves he has made under furniture and growls at the two older cats when they walk by. If he'd just keep quiet they probably wouldn't notice him nor be ready to jump on him. It is like he is asking for a fight or else he calls out for me to come and rescue him which means I have to lift the edge of the chair and pull him out. Cat psychology I am not versed in and I don't know how one gets cats into therapy anyway but Velvet needs a little counseling right now...

The cats look darling. Never had a cat who sucked on something like a pacifier, that's so cute! What do you feed them?
Your cats looks so calm and nice. Are they Stay-At-Home-Cat? Or they can come in and out of the house freely?
Thanks for the update...I do love kitty posts. Chip is looking more and more beautiful and if I ever find myself in Japan I'm coming to your house for a cuddle with Toi...We can't have cats 'cos the DH and the DD1 are allergic so I beg and borrow cat cuddles whenever I can!
Hi Tanya,
I just got a very useful book, Cat vs Cat. It tells how to manage a multiple cat household and explains what their behavior means. Sounds like your Velvet is at the bottom of the pecking order, so to speak... I've got one like that!
Chip is soooo adorable. what a cutie pie. really growing into that dark spot on her nose. Toi sounds like a sweetie pie, kinda like my overgrown orange boy. Habibi and Howler were strays for a year and they've definitely never changed their eating habits.
Toi looks exactly like the cat we had when I was a child. His name was Jay and he was the largest cat I have ever had. HUGE!
We had a cat that died a couple of years ago who sucked on our clothes and necks. She was an abandoned kitten and was never properly weaned, we think. She was so tiny when we found her and rescued her from some dogs that were intent on eating her. We named her Chupacabre because of this suckling behaviour (the goat sucker - a mythical creature.)
